Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We provide our own sound and lighting.
We have PAT testing and public liability.

If there are chairs at the venue the band can use that is always a help.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We offer a DJ service at additional cost.
or We can play a clients playlist during the break from their own device at no extra cost. Additional time may incur a fee.

Do you need a power supply

Unless you are booking an entirely acoustic performance we would need access to a power supply. A single 13amp socket with nothing else on it, should be ample for our requirements.

We have played at T in the park. 8 times.
Solkd out many big venues in Aberdeen city and shire and travelled to many different countries.

Our influences are from traditional music. From Foster and Allen, to Phil Cunnigham and Aly Bain. Robert Burns has written some of the worlds best music, would have to be Auld Lang Syne, as it's played all over the world at the same time, centuries later.

I began playing accordion aged 15 and left school at 17 with the intention to make it my living. It has been for nearly three decades now.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love to play in a village hall, it has the best atmosphere and everyone can let go and enjoy themselves.

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. We also need shelter from rain and water.

We will play what we know and are happy to entertain requests and if appropriate to our line up and suitability we will perform them.
