If you would like me to perform at a smaller gathering or at a venue that doesn't require a lot of amp I would use my Bose S1 Pro+ as it is battery powered so will not need a power supply. However if you are a larger venue or an event needing more amp I would perform with my Bose L1 Pro 8 speaker which will need a power supply.
I am completely self contained and can bring my own PA system.
I will need to know if there is a walk to the venue, any directions if the venue is hard to find and if there is a sound limiter at the venue. This will allow me to figure out what system to bring.
I am more than happy to play music in-between sets to keep the party alive. Please do let me know if you would like to choose the music I play.
I use a Bose L1 Pro8 as my main speaker and a Bose S1 as my monitor. I can provide some lighting at an additional charge.
I recently did the loughborough light switch on which was amazing! Check out the stage in my pictures!
Celine Dion.
It all started in musical theatre, which then led to me getting a qualification in musical theatre. I LOVED being on stage and singing back then. (Only recently have I learnt that I LOVE entertaining and that being a singer isn't just singing to people.)
I also love changing melodies and being quirky with my sound... so I decided to train at a contemporary music school and move away from theatre. This gave me an insight into the contemporary music industry and to really think about what I want to do.I left uni and worked within a studio in Sheffield, working alongside industry professionals and signing for renowned artists.
I left the studio and started to work on myself and my career entertaining and singing for people like you! :)
How did I start gigging?
My dad, is the short answer, he built stages and built connections. I would sing at small events and festivals he put on in order for me to get out there. He would say "you can have the stage but only if Ilea performs!"
Any event where the audience get involved!
Yes I have a guitarist, however there would be an additional charge.
I perform a range of sets, some are 30 minute sets at events and some are 2 x 45 minute sets. Sometimes you have to work around the evening. However I feel 3 x 30 minute works best as there isn't too much of a gap in-between my singing. It keeps the evening upbeat.
I get to the venues half an hour before to set up and do a sound check, please note I do not charge for set up time.
I am happy to perform outside, however I do ask that you try to ensure the surface is flat for my equipment and if you can provide shade on those hot summer days. Otherwise I may have to get out the sunnies.
I have set lists that I like to perform however it's your event so send over your preferences. E.g. Do you prefer acoustic or more full backing tracks? I ask that song requests are a maximum of 5 but you are more than welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire. If you let me know the vibe of the event I can collate one for you.
A previous audience member actually said my comedy is just as good as my singing, I love a chat.
I do accept song requests but please ensure these are limited to 5 and let me know in advance.
I am happy to travel as far as 100 miles, however there will be travel expenses for events that are more than a 25 miles radius from me. I charge 45p per mile, 1.40 per litre and 40 mpg.
I arrive half an hour prior to the performance to set up and do a sound check and I do not charge for this set up time.
