Funking Out! are a collective of pro musicians from GreaterManchester who deliver Funk, Northern Soul, Motown and other genres...that we've funked up!

Each member of the band brings 20 years of industry experience both original and covers.

Nat (vocals) has played with Elbow, Ocean Colour Scene, 808 State, The Blockheads, Pete Doherty in original music and has playing with and leading the Funking Out! band for 3 years.

Pete (drums) currently plays with Paul Heaton & Jackie Abbott (Beautiful South/House Martins), and in the past with the Courteeners, Tom Hingley, Squeeze and Madness. He is a talented multi instrumentalist who also plays percusiion instruments, glockenspeil, mandolin and violin.

Sam (bass) has played for Marrillion, Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy and Paul Heaton. He is also a talented multi instrumentalist and composer who in addition to bass guitar plays piano, french horn and guitar.

Dale (guitars) is an award winning classically trained guitarist there isn't a style if music he can't play to a very high standard. Steve (guitars) his some time stand in was a founding members of No Hope in New Jersey and toured with the Killers on their Hot Fuss tour.

Christian (keys) has just completed a tour playing for Liam Gallagher on his debut solo album. Christian has also played for Plan B, Jimmi Goodwin (The Doves) and was a founding member of The Earlies.

Nicky (Saxophone) is a renowned musician and producer who has worked with Paul Heaton, Cherry Ghost, Emmy The Great, Paul Heaton, Micah P Hinson and with his brother Christian was a founding member of the Earlies.

Matt (Trumpet) is a renowned Trumpet player whether it be with Orchestras throughout the North West or with brass outfit The Exacters who have been regulars at Manchesters Band On the Wall venue and Main Stage festivals perfomances at The Ramsbottom Festival. Matt has been bringing his special playing to Funking Out! for he last two years exempliefied in his solo for our version of Princes hit 'Kiss'.
