The Flying Corradinos are an exciting Cheshire folk band with a raw, old-time american groove and strong vocal harmonies. We play mainly traditional folk tunes and standards with strong elements of bluegrass and are experienced in playing on-stage at events, concerts and festivals. We also like to appear with our own caller (and a PA suitable for village halls etc) to provide barndances. We are especially enjoy playing for those who may be new to folk dancing and specialise in providing barndances for beginners.
Our music is fiddle and mandolin based and since we have a rock background there is also a serious level of rhythm and groove to everything we do. The core band members are well experienced having been together for 28 years at this point. Our typical lineup is fiddle/mandolin, guitar, bass, drums and caller, but we sometimes also incorporate banjo and appear in other formats (i.e. from a duo upward) as the occasion and our availability arises.
Our tunes are mainly from the British Isles and the USA (the overall sound has an american flavour incorporating bluegrass and cajun elements).
