String quartet for wedding ceremony and drinks reception | £720 |
String trio for wedding ceremony and drinks reception | £580 |
String duo (viola and cello) for wedding ceremony and drinks reception | £490 |
The classic ensemble: two violins, viola and cello. Versatile and proven, equally suited to a garden drinks reception, an intimate concert or the string section of a pop ballad. Our most popular option.
Violin, viola and cello. Suitable for smaller budgets than a quartet, with a similar repertoire but not quite as full a sound.
Tight budget or intimate venue with not much space for musicians? A duo of viola and cello can fit almost anywhere and is still adaptable enough to provide a wide range of music.
An acoustic string quartet can fill more space than you probably imagine - we have played ‘unplugged’ in Southwark Cathedral! But if an extra boost is needed, we can bring amplification equipment and our own PA to give you that same classical sound only louder; all we need is power.
Some of our core members are experienced arrangers. So we’re not dependent on what’s published or available in print; if particular music played by a particular lineup is important to you, it’s important to us and we can make it happen! We can even provide a bespoke commissioned song / piece for your event.
Want strings on your album, single or even a special live performance? We can add that extra dimension to your project, whether you have a MIDI demo of every note you want or just a demo and the idea of strings on it.
We’d always recommend you be present in person for recording and filming if possible, to shape exactly what you get in the moment. But if that just isn’t possible, our musicians can record, and film, ourselves from home in professional quality; or we can arrange a session at a studio local to us for your project.

Normally we play acoustically, in which case our only requirement is a chair each and, if we are playing outdoors, shelter from rain / direct sun. We can also play amplified, though it is rarely necessary, in which case we need mains power but will bring everything else ourselves.
If you request us to play amplified we will bring our PA. Otherwise we don't need any sound or lighting equipment, so either way we are fully self-contained.
Any directions, including which space(s) within the venue we are playing in for which part(s) of the day. Please let us know if we won't be able to park at the venue or if we need to do anything beforehand to arrange parking. If there's a place we can leave instrument cases, bags etc out of the way that is always preferable, but we can usually discuss that with venue staff when we arrive.
No, sorry.
Setup can take as little as 15 minutes, though we normally allow 30 to be on the safe side. Moving around the same site is quicker again. Performance lengths can be more or less anything you want, and we are happy to move locations eg to play for both your ceremony and your drinks reception.
Yes, but our instruments absolutely need to be covered from any rain or direct sun that there might be. And we do need a chair per player wherever we're playing!
We have a very large repertoire list from which clients can pick as many numbers as they feel in advance. We will always try to cater to requests but if you want a lot of things we don't have or that are difficult for us to source we may have to add a surcharge to the fee. If we have more time to fill than there have been requests, or there are more requests than we can fit in, then we will pick and choose to match the course of events.
Clients comment on our beautiful playing that fits the vibe of their event but adds to the ambiance. They also describe us as friendly, professional and very easy to work with!
Normally if you're booking us for a wedding we would quote to play some background music before the ceremony; the ceremony music (probably entrance, signing of the register and exit); and during the drinks reception, up to about 2 hours. But you don't have to have all of those, and if you want a different combination or even more - or if you're not booking us for a wedding - just tell us what you had in mind and we can discuss appropriate prices.
