THE BIRTH OF THE ELVIS SINGAGRAM EXPERIENCE

I have been a huge Elvis fan for more than 30 years and have always enjoyed listening to his music. My favourite era was the ‘Jumpsuit’ years of 1970-1977. I believe that there has never been and never will be any performer to compare to the King.

In the past I have worked as a solo Comedy Impressionist, and also as part of a musical & comedy duo and trio. My Elvis act was always the finale of each performance, simply because you cannot follow the ’King’!

The idea for the Elvis Singing Telegram was created 15 years ago when my Elvis act was seen on stage during a Cabaret show for a Music and Comedy duo. In between three straight songs I told jokes, interacted with the audience and ad-libbed with hecklers.

Needless to say, the show was very successful and went down a storm ....after which the ELVIS SINGAGRAM EXPERIENCE was born. Since then it has gone from strength to strength providing hilarious family entertainment throughout the UK.

WHAT IS MY ELVIS SINGAGRAM EXPERIENCE

My ELVIS SINGAGRAM EXPERIENCE can be described as a 'mini' Cabaret show. I aim not to embarrass, but to make the participant feel special, whilst at the same time entertain their friends and family. Back in 2007 my first performances were about 10 minutes. I had added so much to my act since then and now my act is approximately 25-30 minutes.

A typical show would commence with the entire crowd joining in with 'The Wonder of You' followed by 'Can’t Help Falling in Love with You' and 'Suspicious Minds' finishing with 'Love Me Tender', which at the end has a comedy twist. I will also sing 'Happy Birthday' if appropriate, or another song, depending on the occasion.

In between these songs there will be clean family humour and an opportunity for a photograph to be taken when I present the VIP with a certificate, together with a box of chocolates, to commemorate the evening.

Although there are set routines to the act, it can be tailored to suit your needs. I use a top quality portable amplifier so that the audience can hear me loud and clear. If a DJ is present, I have my own top quality backing tracks, in fact they are that good you will think I have a live band and singers with me!
