Durham Harpist is a harpist and registered music therapist originating from the plains of Oklahoma, USA. She has been providing music for special events since she studied performance at University of Oklahoma School of Music. Her work has included large ensemble, chamber music, ceremonies, corporate events, and many more. Her repertoire is ever-expanding and consists of hundreds of well known pieces.
She is always happy to take requests and especially to arrange anything new. She received her graduate degree in music therapy from the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State. Her theories and philosophies are grounded in a music therapy background with a humanistic approach. The pleasing effects of her harp music can apply to any atmosphere, from her work in the mental health industry to a jovial ceremonial gathering. Clients in the UK have consisted of organizations like National Trust, Deeside Festival, and the Royal Northern and University Club.
