Si and Andy are a DJ/Sax and Percussion duo based in the UK.
The duo are highly regarded professional musicians with many years’ experience working alongside international DJs and Artists (see biography sections below).
Their energetic and charismatic performance and skillful playing create that unmistakable party atmosphere wherever they play. They add the wow factor to any event and always deliver a slick and professional performance.
Si and Andy available for wedding, parties as well as corporate events, public events including festivals and bar/club nights.
The duo are able to provide all the music for your event with a DJ/Sax and Percussion package, or they can play alongside your chosen DJ. For weddings the duo offers a number of flexible packages and are able to provide music for any part of your special day, be it the ceremony, drinks receptions and/or the evening reception, get in touch to discuss options.
This versatile duo are able to play along with any genre of music. We understand that every wedding is different and so we don't have a standard repertoire or playlist, we can play along with pretty much any style of music and we work with the couples/organisers to put together lists of all the tunes they want to hear on their big day and we improvise over the top. Example genres for the perfect party include house, disco, pop, soul, funk, reggae/ska, Latin and Brazilian styles of music.
Si and Andy are also available to play at international events. As well as playing acoustic percussion, Andy also plays a portable electronic percussion instrument called the Roland Handsonic which enables him to travel and play anywhere in the world.
Si Sax - biography
Simon is a professional saxophonist and began playing saxophone at 10y/o and went onto graduate aged 21 with a Bmus (hons). Si is also an experienced DJ, having DJed for Karen Harding for a number of years.
Simon is regular performer at the Alan Shearer Foundation Charity ball, supporting Olly Murs, Beverly Knight, Jess Glynn and Gary Barlow. Simon has also appeared on the latest channel 4 series of ‘celebrity come dine with me’.
Simon is the official DJ and Saxophonist of Karen Harding and has recently played at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, South Central Festival. Simon also tours the World with the famous brand HedKandi which recently took him to play at Formula 1 party in Bahrain. Now based in London Simon has played in some of the most high-end clubs in the country such as: Tramp, Coya, The Roof Gardens, Madison, Dirty Martini, Sushi Samba, 100 Wardour St.
Simon has recently played weddings at venues such as The Savoy, The Mayfair hotel, The Rosewood and The Hilton.
Simon recently appeared on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ playing for the amazing vocalist Leona Lewis.
Andy- biography
Andy (aka King Konga) has been playing drums and percussion professionally for over 20 years. He has a wealth of experience playing live percussion with international DJs, bands and artists. Andy plays top of the range eye catching silver sparkle congas to add to the visual spectacle!
Over recent years Andy has worked alongside internationally renowned House DJs including the godfather of UK House and Garage Grant Nelson, Danny O and Ridney (Cafe Mambo residents), renown producer and DJ Richard Earnshaw, Steve Taylor (iCulture), Kevin McKay (Glasgow Underground), Junior (Kinky Malinky, Citylife), Grant Richards (Kinky Malinki), Moodena (Tropical Disco), Mitch Tilson & Jack Disley (SoulMuch, SoulDevine), Pete Isaac (Jelly Jazz) and a number of international DJs including Matt D and Gerardo Smedile (Italy), The Checkup (Germany).
As well as playing with DJs, Andy has also played for a number of international artists including PIXIE LOTT (artist and coach on ITVs “The Voice Kids”) Eddie Manion (Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band), Miss Emily (Canadian singer songwriter), Shahab Tiam (Iranian pop star), Diane Shaw (UK Soul artist), Lew Kirton (Legendary American soul singer) and UK Bhangra artist Surj Sahota.
As well as playing acoustic percussion, Andy also plays an electronic percussion instrument which enables him to play 400 drum and percussion sounds from one unit! This is a great option for international gigs and events where parking is not available and/or space is very tight, as it is much more portable than the acoustic set up but allows him to recreate the sound of all the instrument in his acoustic set up and many more.
