Having the Falsetto, gives me the opportunity to sing an extremely wide range of artists songs, from Celine Dion and Shirley Bassey, to Johnny Cash and Matt Monro. With the ability to sing such a wide range of genres/styles, I can pretty much do a whole evening of mixed styles or dedicated to any one of them, or indeed any one artist, with the costumes to match. Although I am not a tribute act to any one artists, I can be to any one style/genre. That said, I have been continually told when I sing a certain artists songs, they would think that the original artist was there on stage. Some examples of this are; Roy Orbison, Frankie Valli, Johnny Cash, Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield, Matt Monro and a couple of others. On top of all of the above, there is also the shock factor of singing a couple of male songs, some quite deep, then hitting an audience with the female falsetto side of my voice, with a Shirley Bassey number, that always creates a huge reaction. The Multi Award Winning, Man of Many voices. “Unbelievably, Unbelievable”. Never has the words ‘many voices’ meant so much, yet we cannot say any more on that, as it would ruin the surprise. Suffice to say ‘Falsetto’ has never been truer, than it has with Mr Shaw‘s voice. With previous tours and one man shows under his belt, to rave reviews, Darren is as eager as anyone to get on that stage and sing and dance his heart out. A Scottish Daily Newspaper said of Darren, during a previous Tour, “Impressive Darren Dazzles….Two for the Price of one, takes on a whole new meaning”, “or is that fifty for the price of one”. Having always been a singer, Darren had part time jobs in his early career, to subsidise his true vocation in life and now its all about the Vocals. If you have seen him perform previously, you’ll be shocked to know, ‘he can dance too!’.
