About / Biography

Dappa brings an electrifying mix of pop, rock, and indie hits to every celebration. This powerhouse band has mastered the art of creating unforgettable moments, crafting shows that seamlessly blend acoustic charm with high-energy electric performances.

Your event, your way! However you see your day we endeavour to make it happen.

The day begins with their signature acoustic set, where guitar and double bass combine to reimagine festival anthems in a way you've never heard before. Imagine Mumford & Sons classics and George Ezra hits sitting alongside folk-inspired versions of Dolly Parton and Avicii – it's this creative versatility that sets Dappa apart. As the day progresses, they transition into their full electric lineup, delivering rock, pop, and soul favourites that keep the dance floor packed until the final note.

These aren't just talented musicians; they're seasoned performers with over 2,500 live shows between them. Their impressive career highlights read like a music industry wish list – from TV appearances with Little Mix on Sunday Brunch and Capital FM to touring Europe with Jamie Lawson and country artist Sarah Darling. They've graced the stages of major festivals including Download, V Festival, SXSW, and Isle of Wight, while prestigious venues like Shepherd's Bush Empire, The Roundhouse and Symphony Hall have hosted them.
Dappa's versatility extends with notable performances at BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, entertained at the Houses of Parliament, and brought their magic to iconic events including Royal Ascot and the London Marathon. Their music has echoed through the historic Notre-Dame Cathedral and animated crowds at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, demonstrating their ability to adapt to any setting while maintaining their signature style.
The band members appeal has taken them across continents, from the UK to South America, Kenya to Australia, leaving a trail of memorable performances in their wake. Whether it's an intimate wedding celebration or a large corporate event, their carefully curated setlist speaks to every generation, creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels part of the celebration.

With Dappa, you're not just booking a band – you're securing a guaranteed highlight of your event, delivered by musicians who combine professional excellence with genuine passion for live performance. Every show is tailored to create those special moments that turn an ordinary event into an extraordinary memory.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We've performed at some incredible venues but even the smaller intimate venues stay in our memories. We performed an acoustic roaming band set at the Royal Academy of Arts as guests enjoyed drinks and viewing the art but have also performed at Edgbaston cricket ground to many thousands of people post match.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Some of our favourite artists include Bruno Mars & Jason Mraz.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We started performing at university and the band has evolved since. We've performed at many venues across the UK and beyond for weddings, parties and corporate events.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We are happy to play at all events but really enjoy weddings. Keeping guests on the dancefloor all night is the aim!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

A normal arrival time would be 90 minutes before the start time.
We generally perform either 3x40 minute sets or 2x60 minute sets but can be flexible to what suits the night best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We can perform outside on condition of safe conditions and no rain. We also require power to be provided to the space.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are welcome to pick 10 requests from our repertoire that we include between our carefully created medleys to ensure smooth transitions and that the energy level doesn't drop. We learn a first dance or song request free of charge too.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Booking Dappa for my party was the best decision.
They went from an acoustic set during drinks to a high-energy electric performance later on which was so impressive.
They had guests dancing and singing along all night.
One of the standout moments was when they joined us on the dancefloor, making the party stand out more.
Their professionalism, combined with their passion for entertaining, truly shone through.
Our friends and family are still talking about how phenomenal the band was.
If you want your party to be unforgettable, Dappa is the way to go!”
