Power socket near the performance area.
Standard performance times are x2 one hour sets or x3 40 minute sets.
Fees include PA sound system and lighting for up to 200 guests, the band set up by 6.30pm for a midnight finish (earlier set up times are available).
The band can provide pre recorded music for before, between and after their sets. Music is chosen from carefully selected playlists that lend themselves to the stage in the evening’s schedule. Alternatively the band are also happy to be given an ipod with your preselected playlists, they will then manage the music throughout the night on your behalf.
We do ask that you feed the band with a hot meal on the evening of the event and also to please make provision for parking for them at the venue.
Yes we bring our own PA system (suitable for up to 200 guests) and lighting for the band and stage area.
An approximate number of guests for the event is helpful. If there is any sound equipment or lighting at the venue, that's also helpful to know. Loading/parking information is also useful of course, particularly in an urban venue.
Yes, we can provide a suitable playlist, or the client can plug their device into our system.
We regularly play at Ronnie Scott's in London. We always enjoy playing there, one of the world's greatest jazz clubs. Also, a corporate party for one of the Champagne houses in Casablanca was a pretty nice gig for us!
Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Prima and Frank Sinatra all influence our live sets! I don't think we could choose just one best song- but Get Happy, Night and Day and Buona Sera are favourites for us and our audiences!
We began playing for dancers in London in 1999...that's last century haha!! The band developed into one of the best-known swing/jive/jazz bands in the UK and we've been playing for public and private events for 25 years now.
Weddings of course are always great fun, we also play at lots of themed events and birthday parties, which can be riotous affairs for the whole family, or mellow evenings for the more mature birthdays - people who love the old songs. We enjoy them all.
Our set times are normally 2 x 60mins or 3x 40 mins. We can be reasonably flexible of course. We usually allow around 2 hours to arrive and set up before our first set.
We enjoy performing outdoors, though we need protection from the weather, including direct sunlight. We need a flat, even surface and normally a power supply. We can however play unamplified - with an instrumental line-up such as trumpet, clarinet, guitar and bass. Vocals do require a PA system of course.
We have an extensive repertoire list from the 'Great American Songbook' and of course we can add new songs. We are happy to discuss with the client.
Our clients always use words like 'Classy' 'Sophisticated' as well as 'exciting' and 'a great sense of fun onstage'
