Clara Risu carry a full backline, including all drums, bass guitar, bass amp, keys and mic. Where possible to kit share with other bands/stages for the sake of time keeping during changeovers, we are happy to use drum shells (Kick, Rack Tom, Floor Tom) and Drum Hardware (Cymbal Stands, Hi-hat Stands)

Clara Risu can also provide a full sound system including PA speakers and monitors if necessary.

Monitor Requirements: Where possible we would like up to 5 monitors, with separate sends/mixes for each. We understand this isn't always possible but somewhere between this and our absolute minimum requirement, being 3 monitors one send/mix.

Yes, we can provide our own Yamaha PA system.

We need to know the size of the performance area, number of power sockets and the distance from the audience. We will need to know volume level requirements, sound limiter, parking spaces, location and full directions, backstage access and if a band room/dressing room is available during breaks.

We can provide a Spotify DJ playlist in between our sets. We are happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the songs in the playlist.

The best gig we have ever done is our first ever gig as a band together at Bessell Scotts House of Jazz. We played as a great unit together and we were amazed and humbled by the amount of love we received from the audience and the venue who booked us. The evening was spectacular and many people were shocked to find out that it was our first gig as a band. I have been influenced by many artists and genres from all decades which means that my music and the genres I sing are versatile and I can sing genres which other bands may not be open to playing.

With over 25 years of experience as a singer, I started performing at the age of 10 and won various singing competitions in Asia and in the UK. I started gigging in Bristol with my musicians and have since worked on international material such as Spanish, Japanese and Filipino songs.

I love playing at all kinds of events and I really pride myself on being so versatile. I can play songs of any genre and add my own twist to it. I can offer a bespoke package and play any event and venue (from high-end to smaller budget events). I can also play classic party tracks with modern additions depending on what suits the venue/event and what’s required.

I offer bespoke packages for all our clients. The usual performance packages I offer are the 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minutes sets. I am more than happy to play slightly longer as well free of charge. I strive to cater to the needs of all my clients during the booking process as well as during the performance.

Yes, I am happy to play outdoors but I ask for shade, a stable stage and flat level surface and safe power supply close to the performance area with a designated space where I can safely store my equipment whilst performing and during breaks.

I have a set repertoire however, I offer bespoke packages and clients are more than welcome to request specific songs to suit their event especially for first dances. I would welcome suggestions on how they would like specific songs played (acoustic, full band, duo). My setlists include classics and modern chart toppers and we constantly add to our repertoire.

Most of my customers enjoy the unique setlists I offer and I pride myself on choosing classic dance floor fillers which aren’t usually played by other function bands. I aim to be modern whilst also performing classics and customers have enjoyed how I blend the classics and modern tracks together to make sure I cater to audiences of all ages.
