About / Biography

BASS GUITAR REMOTE RECORDING-

I have recorded electric bass guitar on multiple singles and EPs in various styles ranging from pop, funk, jazz and fusion. I have access to professional studio equipment and I am able to record, edit and process my own recordings. I am a very fast learner and improviser; I can also read sheet music and solo accordingly. I have recorded bass in various studios including Abbey Road as well as various home studio set ups.

Please contact me for recording electric bass on your track/album.

LIVE PERFORMING -

Drums:

I have been playing the drums since I was two years old and have played for a large number of gigs such as churches, cover bands, big bands, pit bands, etc. I achieved Distinction in Rockschool Grade 8 drums so I can sight read sheet music, as well as graduating from Oxford Brookes University with Upper Second Class Honours in BAHons Music. I am fluent in rock style drumming as well as jazz style drumming. I am a very good improviser and up for any genre in any style. I would love to be in musical pit bands as I have recently just finished a three night production of We Will Rock You for my old sixth form college. I have performed at many pubs across the country, 93 Feet East in London and the London Palladium. I also have lots of recording experience and am very comfortable with session work - I have recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Royal Holloway University. I can also play cajon and other various percussion if need be depending on the gig.

Equipment:

  • Snare Drum x1
  • Snare stand x1
  • Drum Key x2
  • Cymbals (hi hat, ride, crash, splash) x5
  • Kick Pedal x1
  • Sticks (brushes, wood, rods and mallet) x7
  • Cowbell x1
  • Cajon (if desired) x1
  • IEMs x1

Rest of the kit will have to be supplied by the venue including stands, shells, heads - very comfortable to play on house kits.

Bass:

I have been playing electric bass for 10 years and have played in various groups ranging from indie folk, hard rock, jazz fusion and avant garde so I am confident in many styles. I have experience as a big band bassist as well so while I can't sight read bass music, I could easily work out what to play through a quick look at charts if necessary - but I'm very comfortable improvising. I have recorded and performed on bass at all the venues listed above in the drum section.

Equipment:

  • Electric Bass x1
  • Jack Leads x2
  • Pedal Board x1
  • Guitar Amp x1 (bass amp will have to be supplied by the venue if desired)
  • In Ear Monitors x1

I am also very comfortable with providing backing vocals whether behind a kit or on bass.
