Having played with Jazz greats such as Don Weller, Alan Barnes, Clark Tracey, Stan Sulzmann, Mark Lockhart, Dennis Rollins, Mark Nightingale, Greg Abate and Benn Clatworthy, as well as appearing alongside the London Community Gospel Choir, The Blockheads, Roy Ayres and the Baker Brothers, George has cemented his reputation as an artist of unrivalled deftness and versatility among the highest level of performers. In a similar fashion to his compositional projects, these experiences have often thrown him in at the deep end and provided some of the steepest yet most exhilarating learning curves of his early career.
With a musical passion strongly rooted in Jazz notwithstanding, he has an astounding ability to add his unique, diverse style to Rock, Pop, Soul and Funk. George spent two years as part of the highly fêted house band at Mama Stones in Exeter, owned by the mother of multi platinum award winning soul singer Joss Stone, where his understated, faultless delivery and blistering interludes regularly left audiences at the packed venue mesmerised.
