I love soul, Northern Soul, Stax, Motown, Jazz, Reggae.
I joined a soul band in my twenties (late starter) and we travelled all over Europe, playing in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, The Canary Islands, Norway, The Acores..
I started playing solo with backing tracks around 2006 and I moved to Cape Verde where I played at hotels, restaurants and clubs over a 10 year period.
I then moved back to the UK in 2016 and have been playing solo, and with a soul band and a ska band.
I play all sorts of events all over the UK, and still regularly play in Cape Verde.
I love events, especially special birthdays and weddings, my favourite part of the wedding to play is the champagne reception/arrival/before dinner set.

A have a set list repertoire of about 100 songs, usually about 30 songs are needed for 2 x 45 minute sets.
I send the set list to the client in advance so that they can choose their favourites, but if they don't mind I will read the room and cater the music to the event.
