Uniting some of Egypt's most celebrated master musicians on quater-tone accordion, oriental saxophone, oud, percussion and voice the band was nominated for Best Group in the Songlines Music Awards 2013, had music featured in the BBC documentary “Bellydancing and the Blues ” and were a hit at WOMAD. They have released 10 CDs to date. Their debut, was described by fROOTS magazine as “Outstanding, fresh and compelling as well as technically superb”.
