Athena are one of the most successful and best-loved electric string quartets in the world. A dazzling virtuosic spectacle performed in all corners of the globe, the performance exudes a professionalism honed by each of the girls at the top London conservatoires and razor-sharp choreography to match.
Encompassing a fusion of styles, Athena combines classical crossover favourites and instrumental versions of pop songs from past and present, transporting their audiences into musical scenes of Cuban jazz bars, enchanted Arabic deserts, and Mediterranean night clubs.
Athena performs as 4 electric strings with the option to add electric guitar and percussion to add that extra wow factor to your event.

The show is a fast-paced spectacle delivered with world-class musicianship and slick choreography. Musically it incorporates a fusion of styles, comprising classical crossover favourites and instrumental versions of pop songs from past and present. It also ventures into world music, as the girls transport their audiences into musical scenes of Cuban jazz bars, enchanted Arabic deserts and Mediterranean night clubs.
Athena are one of the world's most successful and best loved electric string quartets. The four Asteria girls met each other through the top London conservatoires where they trained.
Although trained on conventional classical instruments, they bonded through their mutual passion for electric strings and the musical diversity that these offer. As such, there is always a warm and vibrant on-stage dynamic between them, born out of their natural musical bond and their love of the show they have honed together.
The four girls have spent years honing their show into a dazzling choreographed virtuosic spectacle which they have toured all over the world, bringing glamour to beautiful concerts, parties, events and celebrations.
Asteria usually performs as 4 electric strings to backing track, but the show can be augmented to include a backing band of:
Guitar and percussion
Guitar percussion drums bass keyboards
Guitar percussion drums bass keyboards, 15 backing strings
In addition to the backing band, the show can also feature a large or small dance troupe.
The girls love performing with dancers, live bands and enjoy any opportunity to make an event unique and memorable.
Set lengths vary according to client requirement, but usually it is 20- 30 minutes as the show is quite high-octane and very much a 'showpiece'.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface/staging and a power supply close to the performance area. We cannot allow for performances in inclement weather.
We can discuss repertoire but we have our tried and tested show which usually is what works best for events.
