Ariel Cubillas, from Havana, has got a rich musical background in Cuba both as performer and as composer.

He belongs to the so-called "Contemporary Cuban Song" movement, a very wide concept that gives us an insight into what the modern Cuban Cultural Identity is like nowadays. The Cuban Contemporary Song has roots in the "Nueva Trova" movement, and embraces many musical styles in itself, such as Pop, Blues, Rock, Funk, Bossa Nova and, of course, the Traditional Cuban Music, e.g. Son, Guaguancó, Rumba, etc...
This wide range of styles is reflected in Ariel´s songs, as well as in his lyrics, that speak about Love, Politics, Science, Emigration, Loneliness...
Ariel lived in Seville, Spain, for fourteen years. As a result of this experience, he recorded two quality LPs ("Ariel" and "Respira") and collaborated with various prestigious local artists.
