Angelina Egerton (previously Warburton) is an experienced and professional harpist in York. She has played for hundreds of weddings over the years and sets the perfect atmosphere for your Wedding Ceremony, Drinks Reception, or Wedding Breakfast.
Angelina provides harp music for weddings and other special occasions. Her extremely varied repertoire includes popular classics from the charts and musical theatre, a sprinkling of Disney and folk tunes, as well as classical repertoire.
Every wedding is unique, and harpist Angelina will create a personal playlist for your Wedding Ceremony. This includes your choice of bridal entrance music, background music for the signing of the register, and ceremony exit music. If there’s a song or piece that you’d like that isn’t on my song list, let me know and I will do my best to learn it for your special day.
From the moment your guests enter the Ceremony room, I will be there with my 47-string concert grand pedal harp.
I will provide elegant background music while your guests take their seats before the Ceremony. The beauty of harp music, aside from the gorgeous instrument itself, is that it is enough volume to set an elegant and intimate atmosphere, but not so loud as to interfere with conversation.
Following the Ceremony, I can move the harp to the Drinks Reception, and provide background music while your guests mingle. You’ll have your photos taken and everyone will be enjoying the day.
I can also provide background music for your Wedding Breakfast. Send me an enquiry to receive an accurate quote for harp music for your special day.

Car parking.
Accessible route to location(as few steps as possible).
Due to the valuable and fragile nature of the harp, playing outside without adequate shelter is not possible.
There is no extra sound or lighting equipment required. It's just me and my harp.
It's always good to know the parking situation in advance, for unloading the harp. Also, are there lots of stairs that I will need to go up or down with the harp?
This is not normally something I provide as I only take ten minute breaks between sets during background music.
When the then Prince Charles turned 60, part of his birthday celebrations included a concert at Covent Garden. He had sixty harpists perform all around the balcony and I was one of them. It was a brilliant day.
My biggest musical influences have been from my father and the harp teachers I had when I was younger. Without them I wouldn’t be doing what I am today.
I’ve been playing for weddings and special events since 2011. I studied the harp at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. The harp is a large instrument so I had to wait until I got my first car to start gigging. Since then I’ve played for hundreds of weddings across the North of England.
I love playing for weddings and contributing to a couple’s special day. It’s so interesting to hear different song choices from different couples and add that personal touch to a Wedding Ceremony.
Around 30 minutes set-up time. Sets are 30 minutes, with ten minute breaks in between.
In order to play outside there needs to be adequate shelter for the harp, and a flat, level surface. The harp is a very valuable instrument and British weather can be very unpredictable!
I'm happy to discuss music choices. I have a music list that I can send. I'm also happy to learn a song especially for you if you have a specific request that isn't on my list.
Previous clients describe the harp as an elegant addition to a wedding. The volume of the harp is enough that it can be heard, without being so loud it interferes with conversation.
Yes. Often when I'm playing for both the Ceremony and Drinks Reception, I will need to move the harp to a new setting at the venue. This isn't a problem, although if there are a lot of stairs I may require someone to help me with the harp. A member of staff is usually happy to assist.
I can move the harp from one venue to another, for example if you are having a church wedding followed by a hotel reception. I will just need to add the extra travel expenses onto the fee.
