My name is Chris Harper, I’m a 23 year old indie-pop singer/songwriter from Crowborough in Sussex.
I sing acoustic covers of all sorts of genres from Pop/ Rock through to the odd country song. From newly released to your old favourites.
I've been performing solo for around 5 years, I started busking on the streets of Newcastle as a form of income and fell in love with it. I've now been gigging and singing at weddings full time for two years.
Through my project I aim to inspire those who feel outcasted due to their identity or ambitions. I was raised in a very strict military family, who doubted my choice to go into music, and sent me to a school where everything was regimented and geared towards exam results. I didn’t feel free to be a creative individual there, so when I arrived at Uni I finally felt able to escape to song writing as a means to express myself, and to cope with my dyslexia and ADHD. It was like 18 years of pent up feelings came rushing out all at once, through music. For me my project stands for those who want to go against the grain, and still choose to pursue whatever they might be passionate about, regardless of where they come from. I love my craft and I’m growing and learning more about it every day.
I release my own music as well which is on Spotify/ apple music. I'm aiming to be the next alfie templeman/ two door cinema club/ COIN.

I will use my own PAT Tested PA System.
I also have disco lighting if this is requested.
I will require information about parking and unloading a the venue.
I will need the client to ensure the performance venue is able to accommodate myself, and that any volume limitations imposed by the venue have been disclosed to me prior to confirming the booking.
Yes, happy to have whatever music the client would like.
I have supported the likes of Jason Allan and Bee Arnold on their UK Tours as well as Sam and Sounds and Cristina Hart. In venues in Brighton, Reading and London, singing my own songs!
I love combining big guitar sounds that I heard in my childhood from bands like Guns N Roses, with the catchiness of artists like Charlie Puth and Taylor Swift. Currently, I'd say my sound for my original music is most similar to Alfie Templeman, COIN and Two Door Cinema Club. I would say my favourite band is Nothing But Thieves.

My favourite is playing shows where I get to sing my own music to my fans however I love singing covers at weddings as the crowd are always in a good mood and want to sing along.
Normally 2x45 mins sets or 2x60 mins sets with a break between.
As long as I have power and shelter for bad weather this is more than fine. I also have a smaller more portable setup if you'd like me to change locations at certain points of the day.
I include one free song to learn outside of my repertoire complimentary to the booking. Clients are welcome to choose the sets from the list.
Depending on the type of set they'd either say for a stripped set - chilled and smooth perfect for a wedding ceremony - or for more of an upbeat set - perfect for getting the guest moving and tapping their feet/ dancing.
