Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I need a performance space of at least 2m x 2m and access to a single 13-amp power socket for my keyboard and amplifier. If the venue has a piano, please ensure it’s tuned and in working condition. Parking or a convenient loading area close to the venue is also helpful for unloading equipment.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I’m completely self-contained. I bring my own keyboard, small PA system, and any necessary amplification. I don’t typically provide lighting, but I’m happy to perform under the venue’s lighting setup.

What information do you require about a venue?

I need clear directions to the venue, including details for loading in and setting up. If the venue has a piano, please let me know in advance so I can confirm it meets performance standards. It’s also helpful to know if there are any sound limiters or specific rules about noise levels.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can provide background music through a Spotify playlist or similar service between sets if requested. Please let me know in advance if this is something you'd like me to include

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

One of my most memorable gigs was performing at Selfridges, where I had the chance to set a sophisticated atmosphere for shoppers. It was a truly unique experience to blend music with the energy of such an iconic venue.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been deeply influenced by jazz legends like Bill Evans and Nina Simone for their emotive playing and timeless artistry. My favorite artist would have to be Elton John for his incredible songwriting and performances. The greatest song of all time? For me, it’s What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong—its beauty and optimism never fail to resonate.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

My journey began with jazz piano lessons as a child, which evolved into performing at private parties and events during my teenage years. Since then, I’ve played at countless weddings, corporate functions, and high-profile venues across the UK, honing my craft and repertoire along the way.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I particularly enjoy intimate settings like wedding ceremonies or private dinners where the piano adds a personal, elegant touch to the event. Creating the perfect ambiance for these special moments is incredibly rewarding.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I typically arrive 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance to set up and soundcheck. My usual performance format is 2 x 45-minute or 3 x 30-minute sets, but I can adjust the timing to suit your event’s schedule.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I’m happy to play outside as long as there is adequate shade or cover to protect my equipment from the elements, a flat surface to set up on, and access to a power supply near the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are welcome to request specific songs or pick from my repertoire in advance. I’m also happy to learn up to 3 special requests for your event. Otherwise, I can tailor the setlist to suit the atmosphere and preferences you share with me.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often describe my performances as elegant, versatile, and atmospheric, with music that perfectly complements the mood of their event. They appreciate the seamless blend of classic and contemporary pieces that cater to a wide range of tastes.
