Here at Last Minute Musicians, we love to shine a light on some of our favourite acts on the directory. Today, it’s the turn of the fantastic function and corporate events band, The Fireflies and their duo The Buskerteers.
Who are The Fireflies?
The Fireflies are an award-winning party band from Brighton, with a flexible lineup and lots of entertainment options.
They also offer an acoustic duo or trio option under the banner of The Buskerteers.
They’ve had some big clients in the past, including Sky Sports, American Express, O2, Getty Images, Deloitte, and Britvic and have won the American Express Customer Service Award a collective five times! They’ve even appeared at Glastonbury and shared the stage with Beyoncé!
What do they do?
The Fireflies focus on delivering an up-tempo set with brilliant onstage chemistry and fun audience interaction.
The repertoire is a rollercoaster ride through the decades of non-stop pop, rock, party, disco funk, soul, indie and Britpop hits – with anthems such as ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘September’ and ‘Never Too Much’ taking pride of place in their set.
The various incarnations of their band mean that they can suit any situation, from a full party band stacked with lots of backing harmonies to a stripped back acoustic set ideal for smaller events or dinner/drinks receptions.
What do we think?
We love the variety that The Fireflies offer their clients. They are all clearly very accomplished musicians with a great sound. Their slick promotional material gives any prospective booker a great flavour of what they can expect from The Fireflies.
The free DJ playlist service, coupled with their ability to provide an acoustic option, means that they represent a complete package of entertainment that’s perfect for weddings, functions, and corporate events, without the additional hassle and expense of booking another act or DJ.
With great energy and a fantastic repertoire, we believe that they absolutely live up to their claim to be a “vibrant and charismatic collective who know exactly how to set the dance floor alight!” and with thirty-eight 10/10 ratings on their LMM profile, clearly their previous clients agree.
Who are The Buskerteers
The Buskerteers play back-to-back, non-stop, acoustic party cover hits: power vocals over mesmerising guitar riffs. They love audience participation, getting everyone involved and having fun! The duo also have a party setup and show with sampler, electric guitar and backing tracks to give a full live band sound.
You have the option to book The Busketeers and The Fireflies as a package deal. The Busketeers duo can provide a soothing ambiance during the daytime, as your guests socialise and mingle. Later on, The Fireflies can take the stage to deliver an energetic and captivating performance that will make for an unforgettable evening party experience.
What do their clients think?
What an absolutely awesome band – the talk of the night! Great communication prior to arrival, punctual and covid safe. Their performance injected loads of energy and had the dance floor packed! Great supporting equipment and lights turned our venue into a top party!

Without doubt the best band you can book, I cannot recommend them more highly. A fantastic selection of songs, their performance is tight, professional and fun. Their vocals are incredible and can turn their hands to so many genres. they had everyone of all ages up and dancing along. Very easy going to deal with at booking and kept in touch throughout.
