Here at Last Minute Musicians, we love to shine a light on some of our favourite acts on the directory. Today, it’s the turn of the fantastic function and corporate events band, Audio Riot.
Who are they?
Based in Brighton, Audio Riot are a classic 4-piece band comprising of Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Drums. Their bio promises “powerful vocals, backing harmonies and expert musicianship”.
Primarily a charismatic high-energy party band, Audio Riot regularly perform at functions, weddings and corporate events. Indeed, with a list of previous clients that includes American Express, Sky, Nationwide, Getty Images, Britvic and Deloitte their credentials are well established!
As well as performing across the UK, the band also perform internationally and on cruise ships.
What do they do?
Audio Riot claim that every booking “can expect the dancefloor packed, the crowd singing along and cherished memories that will last a lifetime”. While this is a bold claim, there is plenty of evidence to back it up!
Their repertoire list is certainly diverse, spanning everything from 50s and 60s Rock n’ Roll classics by the likes of The Rolling Stones, Elvis and Chuck Berry, right up to modern anthems by Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5.
In contrast to other party bands, Audio Riot also offer two alternate options for more tailored sets – a 90/00s Tribute (featuring music from the likes of Oasis, Blur, Busted, McFly, Greenday and 5ive) under the guise of Ninety Noughty Four, and an acoustic duo known as The Buskerteers.
They offer 2 x 1 hour sets as standard.
What do we think?
At Last Minute Musicians, we love a classic party band and Audio Riot are no exception.
However, not only do Audio Riot look the business, but their set list also very much lives up to expectation. We think the option for a 90s/00s tribute show and an acoustic show is great, as this offers the maximum flexibility to their clients.
Their promotional material is well-produced and slick, giving any prospective clients a really good flavour of the kind of performance they are in for. Their free additional options for a song request and one-hour manned laptop DJ represent excellent value.
Clearly a tight and well-rehearsed band, we think Audio Riot are a fantastic choice for weddings, functions and corporate parties. With a current rating of 10/10 on their LMM profile, clearly their past clients agree!
