About / Biography

Pete came up with the idea of a traditional rock and roll band in 2011 having seen a great Floridian band called Rocky and the Rollers whilst on holiday in the USA. Pete was enthusiastic about the band’s great musicianship and vocals which reminded him so much of his youth which was spent playing many of the numbers in the Rollers repertoire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

It is difficult to choose a "best gig" as we have always received excellent testimonials after every gig. Our most memorable gig was probably the Inland Waterways Festival in Worcester in 2021 as the audience were so enthusiastic we had to do 4 encores.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

As a traditional Rock and Roll band our influences are all the greats of the 1950s and early 1960s including Elvis, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran to name but a few.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

All the band members have played for many years some starting as teenagers in the 1960s. The idea to start a Rock and Roll band was hatched in 2012 after seeing a great band called Rocky and the Rollers in Florida. They created a great sing along atmosphere as everybody seems to know classic RnR songs even if they were hits well before they were born!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love playing at all sorts of events but parties are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing and joining in.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45/50 minutes sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade/weather protection, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We do have standard sets that have proved to be very popular, but also have a wide repertoire and can tailor sets to suit a clients particular requirements if requested.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Slick, professional, entertaining and the band gets the audience on the dance floor and joining in.

How far will you travel?

for our normal fee without any additional travel costs we will travel 20 miles each way from the Gloucestershire Worcestershire border, however, we are happy to travel further if required at extra cost.
