Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

But I have had the pleasure to play at some pretty amazing venues in my time.

It would be difficult to single out one particular artists I love early Rock n roll Elvis,Buddy holly,Eddie cochran.
The Beatles,The Rolling Stones The Who and The Kinks.

I love Hard Rock music especially from 1980's Def Leppard Gun's n Roses Whitesnake Motley crue etc.
ThreeArtists I particularly admire are Tom Petty ,Bryan Adams and Chris Norman [original lead singer of Smokie]

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been a gigging musician for the last forty years starting out as a bass player in a rock band playing our own songs. And eventually becoming solo performer I have played hundreds of gigs in pubs and clubs and events such as weddings and parties across the North West of England.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

My favourite type of event would always be were the audience are up for a good time.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Set up time is about 1/2 an hour
my usual performance times are 2 x 45 minute sets with half an hour between sets
or 3 x 30 minute spots.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Playing outside in our unpredictable British weather can be a bit of a challenge at times.
So best to always have a plan B as in somewhere indoors to play should the weather not be favourable on the day.
I can play outdoors if the weather is fine I would need a covered shade area with a flat level surface and a safe power supply close to the area.
PLEASE NOTE IF THE WEATHER STOPS THE PERFORMANCE FULL PAYMENT WOULD STILL BE REQUIRED HENCE WHY I RECOMMEND HAVING A PLAN B INDOOR AREA TO PLAY.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can do my best to learn a couple of songs for your event if required.
Also you can choose the set list from my repertoire if you so require or just leave it to me choose my own set list.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe me as providing a good mixture of music through the decades
