About / Biography

"Jukebox James" is a solo pop & rock covers artist performing any combination of upbeat & chilled popular covers, with both electric & acoustic guitars. I am a full-time pro musician with over 20 years' experience, playing over 150 shows every year and with over 70 five star reviews across different platforms.

I provide live vocals & guitar along with custom made backing tracks, which allows me to create a full band sound but suitable for smaller spaces, lower volumes or smaller budgets!

My repertoire covers a huge range of songs suitable for every event, including modern pop, rock, singalong favourites, country, reggae, R&B, folk, and classic tunes from the 60's to the present. I tailor my set lists based on your requirements, and can also put together new tracks if you have any specific requests.

I work and travel all across the UK (and further), and provide a fully self-contained set-up with my own PA system and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to perform at huge venues such as Liverpool Echo Arena, festivals including Boomtown, and on television, but every opportunity to perform is exciting and a great experience.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been performing for over 20 years, initially working as a singer and guitarist on stage and in the studio for function bands and original artists before creating the Jukebox James show back in 2018.

Setup typically in one hour or less.
Flexible regarding performance times - typical structures include 2 x 1hr sets, 2 x 1hr20min sets, 3 x 45min sets, etc.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes but I ask for some form of cover to provided, to protect equipment in case of changes in the weather.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

All clients are welcome to choose songs they would like me to include or avoid from my repertoire. I am also happy to put together new requests of specific songs. All set lists are prepared specifically for each event.
